So, our time in Korea is coming to a quick end and I am reflecting on all the great memories that Anthony and I have made here. I cannot believe that 2 years have already passed and soon we will be on a plane back to Canada!

Korea holds many dear memories in my heart. Only a month after Anthony and I arrived in Korea he proposed to me in our quaint, cozy apartment. We have had the chance to travel around Korea and explore Asia together. Traveling around Asia has really taught me how different each Asian country is and the distinct culture each has. Asia is amazing and definitely a place I’d recommend to anyone that wants to experience adventure, beauty, and unique traditions. My school throughout the past 2 years has been wonderful to me. I was lucky enough to have amazing co-teachers that were always kind and helpful. The staff and the students have always been welcoming and thoughtful, always making me feel comfortable. I’ll miss the cute conversations I would have during break time with my students and I hope they will never forget me:) I am very happy to have met so many wonderful people and lovely students. I really adore them all.

Doing what I love to do. Anth doing what he loves to do.
Living in Korea made me realize how many little things I am grateful for but can live without :) haha But… as I leave Korea I regret to inform you that I am leaving behind my invasion of personal space, a bathroom that attracts mold like a magnet attracts metal, a kitchen that has the exact same temperature as being outdoors (including frigid winters and humid summers), and mass disorganization; and will be reunited with a home that includes more than one room, a lovely oven and stove, and an abundance of delicious Italian cheese and bread. But all and all these were all minor things I missed or had to adjust to while living in Korea. ;)

I feel very blessed and grateful to have had such a wide range of experiences. I am thankful for my time in Korea and it will always have a place in my heart.
But…. I do miss Canada very much; and as Dorothy said it, “There’s no place like home.”
See you soon Canada!
