Heated Floors

The chronicling of our adventures in South Korea and Asia!

Today I had one of those days at school that make me grateful that I have choosen to become a teacher. Here in Korea I am surrounded by great co-teachers that always support me. One of my co-teacher’s told some students a few weeks ago that writing Christmas cards is a Canadian tradition and it would be nice to give one to me. This was all said in Korean and I didn’t know what she said until recently. Some students remembered and it was a great surprise!

I received some cute Christmas cards from my students dabbled with grammatical and spelling errors which makes me love them all the more. My most favourite thing to get from students is written letters and notes, especially filled with spelling errors. It shows me they cared enough to give me a card and forget about their English not being perfect. It was a nice gesture that confirmed what a warm and loving time the holiday season is. I told my students I will be leaving Korea in March and these few Christmas cards will be a nice memory! It’s amazing how such a small gesture can make your day :) Grateful for the great students I have had here in Korea and will truly miss them once I leave. Merry Christmas to all my friends and family around the world. The holiday season is always wonderful and filled with surprises.
