We’re on the subway right now, heading back to Dadae. It’s a long ride from the bus station in Nopo-dong where we saw Jessica off. Jess arrived but 10 days ago and her time here flew by. Cramming an extra person into our shoebox apartment proved to be a little difficult but we made due. Overall we were able to see quite a bit while she was here, it was a busy busy time but she seemed to enjoy what we were able to do. It was interesting to watch another foreigner adjust to Korea. We’ve become so comfortable here that we may have forgotten the toll it takes on newcomers. Jess got the hang of it pretty quickly and we enjoyed some Busan’s biggest draws. Shopping and Karaoke in Nampo-dong with a third person was even more fun. Jess and Rosie singing Ricky Martin? doesn’t get much better than that.
Unfortunately beomosa (temple) all but burnt down, so our over-an-hour ride there was almost made in vain.
We enjoyed exposing Jess to some Korean food, though sometimes this was hit or miss, especially if chopsticks were involved!
See ya in 5 months Jess! good times.
